This is the latest installment of my posts, where I’m posting about my efforts to bike at least 4200 miles (the length of the TransAmerica bike route) in the Jewish year of 5784. Click here to read more about this initiative.

Where I am at on my imaginary ride of the TransAmerica Bike route: between Ashland and Mineral, Virginia.

Summary: This was a very fun ride. I got a life from my wife to near NW 63rd & Lincoln. I then worked my way south on Lincoln to the state capitol area (where there was a walk for sickle cell awareness going on). I next stopped to take a few pictures at the garden of Joy Mennonite Church, and then rode through the beautiful Lincoln Terrace Neighbhorhood and then onward through Eastside OKC to the NEOKC Farmer’s Market where I bought some great stuff.

After that I made it to the a nice bike trail that runs past the OKC Railway museum, then through the Lincoln Park Golf course, then past the Firefighters museum, Remington Park (horse track/casino), OKC zoo and the Science Museum.

From there I braved a trail that was under construction for a bit, then worked my way over the Nichols Hills/Classen Curve area, then to Lake Hefner. I went around the lake, then onward to home.
