From the vault of The Pine Ridge Journal – November 19, 2001

This post is from the vault of The Pine Ridge Journal (a blog I wrote about my life for a year or so at my grandparent’s old farm near the community of Pine Ridge, Oklahoma).

I must also mention that is a very old blog post that I wrote at a very different time of my life. My views on religion, politics, and many other subjects have drastically changed over the years, so please bear this in mind when reading this post. – I generally do not edit my past writings, except to fix obvious spelling and grammar issues, or to fix broken links (most often replacing with links to archive.org). I do add some more recent editorial updates (with dates), which are shown in blue and italicized.

Note from Sunday, November 19 – I spent last night out here, and came back this afternoon to do some work. Mostly I worked on tilling the front flower bed. I did half of the bed today using the shovel instead of the tiller. The soil up here looks really good. I can tell my Grandpa must have spent a lot of time building up this bed’s soil quality.

I also got to take a walk in the North pasture. It is so quiet back here, the only noise being the few cattle that are following me from a distance.
